No train service between Newcastle and Edinburgh

There are no trains running between Newcastle and Edinburgh because of signalling problems caused by the flooding.

However, there is a limited shuttle service between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh.

Passengers can also travel via Carlisle. Replacement bus services are being sought, but services will depend on road conditions.

There are also train delays between York and Newcastle** **because of signalling problems.

Passengers travelling between Birmingham and Scotland can use Virgin Trains services via Lancaster.
