Millions of gallons of flood water pumped from Mill Vale
Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service are pumping millions of gallons of flood water from a dene close to Mill Vale in the flood-hit area of Newburn near Newcastle.
Some residents have returned to their homes today after being evacuated yesterday as a precautionary safety measure.
