Officers from the Metropolitan Police have searched a house in South Shields, in relation to the attempted murder of an Indian general who had his neck slashed in London on Sunday.
Twelve people have been arrested, by the Counter Terrorism Command, in connection with the attack on Lieutenant General Kuldeep Singh Brar, on Old Quebec Street near Marble Arch.
