A man has been arrested by police investigating a serious assault in Darlington.
The 33 year old victim remains in intensive care after being attacked in front of the bar of The William Stead on October 8.
Police are appealing for witnesses. They have arrested a 32 year old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
