The following roads will be closed during The Duchess of Cambridge's visit.
: Gladstone Terrace NE8 4DY in Gateshead will be closed during the visit
: Dovecote Street closed from the junction with Prince Regent Street alongside the ARC to the junction with Brunswick Street.
: Albion Street will be closed at the junction with Brunswick Street and Lodge Street will be closed at the junction of Brunswick Street and Prince Regent Street.
: William Street is narrow and there will be limited space.
To ensure crowd safety people will be refused entry to the street by police officers if deemed necessary.
People are advised to get there early and co-operate with police officers who will be visible within the area.
Our role is to ensure the safety of the crowd and manage the security surrounding the visit.
There will be a significant police presence and people attending are asked to follow the instructions of police officers and stay within the allocated area for their own safety.
