Royal British Legion launch North East Poppy Appeal
The North East annual Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal will be launched in Newcastle today.
Last year, the charity which provides support and care to Armed Forces families, raised £40m in 2011. The Royal British Legion says it needs to raise £42m this year; £2m more than last year.
