Crimestoppers appeal for help after Stockton assault

A reward of up to £2000 is being offered by the charity Crimestoppers for anyone with information that might lead to the arrest and conviction a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault in Stockton.

A 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on her walk home from school on Tuesday 23rd October.

There were two other separate incidents in the days leading up to the assault where the same man is believed to have approached the girls on both occasions and asked them to get into his car.

Anyone with any information about the incident can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police are looking for a man who is described as being aged in his thirties with dark skin, and possibly of Asian appearance.

He is of average build and has a scar above one eyebrow and a large earring in one of his ears. He was wearing a black hoody and a black baseball cap.

"This man has taken advantage of a young girl who should be able to walk to and from school without fear of being attacked.

This is a disgusting crime and I am urging anyone with information as to who might have done this to contact Crimestoppers immediately, safe in the knowledge that your anonymity will not be compromised.”
