Police are appealing for information after money raised for Armistice Day was stolen in Durham on Thursday night
An investigation is underway after a poppy collection tin was stolen from Durham Light Infantry Museum on Thursday night.
Sergeant Bridget Orton, of Durham Police said:
"This was a particularly heartless crime, especially on the eve of Remembrance Sunday. It just goes to show that criminals have no regard for common decency and will even steal money raised for a charity or good cause."
