Full report: New Northumberland resort to create 700 jobs
There are plans to build a huge outdoor activity centre in Northumberland. It will cost £50 million and create 700 jobs.
If it is approved next year the resort will be built on a former opencast site near Widdrington.
It will include a lake for watersports, snow slopes and man-made canyons, as well as holiday homes and lodges.
A public consultation will be held between 10am and 3pm on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December at Chevington Community Centre in Hadston.
