The latest unemployment figures show a further drop in the North East.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said 127,000 people were out of work in the region between July and September – that is a fall of 7,000.
The region's unemployment rate was 9.8 per cent and saw a drop of 5.2 per cent during the period.
But the figures show the rate is down so far this year by almost two per cent compared with a fall nationally of half a per cent.
