Hundreds more new jobs are on the way to the North East, a day after the latest figures showed unemployment is falling four times faster here than in the rest of the country.
Yesterday, November 14, projects were unveiled bringing new leisure jobs in Northumberland and Darlington.
Today, there is more good news in Northumberland for some of the workers who lost their jobs when Alcan's aluminium smelter closed.
On Teesside a 100 new jobs have been created by a Norwegian company.
Some industry experts are saying it all shows a new confidence in the region.
