The former chairman of Cleveland Police Authority has been charged with perverting the course of justice, as an investigation into several people involved with the police authority continues.
David McLuckie, from the Stokesley area of North Yorkshire, was arrested by officers attached to Operation Sacristy.
He has been bailed to to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday the 30th of November.
