Two men arrested on suspicion of arson
Two men have been arrested after a suspected arson in South Shields.
At about 2.30 am (Saturday) police received reports of a fire at a communal room in a block of flats on Chichester Road.
No one was injured in the incident.
The men, aged 23 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent.
