Policeman sacked over child pornography

A policeman from North Tyneside has been dismissed and given a three-year community order for making and possessing indecent images of children.

Christopher Little, 33, had previously pleaded guilty to six counts of making indecent images and one of possessing an indecent image.

Newcastle Magistrates Court heard that he has been dismissed from his role with Durham Constabulary after a fast-track case hearing took place.

He was also given a three-year supervision order, told to attend a sex offenders group and ordered to pay £85 costs.
