A young sailor from Cumbria has become only the second ever Brit to be given the "Young Sail Trainer of the Year" award - an international award given to her for her dedication to training young people.
Grace Metcalfe from Garston is the skipper of the James Cook- a Tyneside build boat - and was named the "Young Sail Trainer of the Year" by organisers of the Tall ships race.
Despite not having been to sea before the age of seventeen, Grace is now an inspirational role model for young people around the world through her work as a skipper on the James Cook vessel.
