A 56-year-old woman orginally from Redcar accused of smuggling more than £1million worth of drugs into Bali was threatened and coerced into doing it, an expert is expected to say.

Lindsay Sandiford is on trial in the country for drug smuggling and if convicted could face the death penalty.

But an expert in women's involvement in international drug trade said there was strong evidence the Sandiford was threatened into carrying the drugs. The trial continues.
