Full report: Region's rivers improved by freshwater fish

More than ten thousand fish have found new homes in the North East today as part of the Environment Agency's plan to improve the region's rivers.

Three varieties of freshwater fish have been introduced to the River Tees, the Gaunless, the Wear and the Tyne.
