Racism complaint after Newcastle match
Police are investigating an allegation of racist abuse during yesterday's football match between Newcastle United and Manchester City.
Blues player, Aleksandar Kolarov, became involved in a heated exchange with a spectator before coming on as a substitute at St James' Park.
Northumbria police says it takes such allegations extremely seriously and its enquiries are ongoing.
Newcastle lost the game 3 -1.
