Review into children's heart surgery: Lunchtime update
An independent panel investigating a decision to close some children's heart units and create centres of excellence is at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.
The Children's Unit, which looks after the region's young people, was chosen as the Northern centre of excellence - but now that decision is on hold.
