Full Report: The Christmas getaway begins
It's been one of the busiest days of the year on the roads and on airlines, as thousands began their Christmas getaway - either in the UK or to sunnier places.
This morning a number of roads across the region had long tailbacks. But, elsewhere this year there has been little disruption, or at least so far.
