Flood warnings issued for North Yorkshire

Flood warnings have been issued for parts of North Yorkshire after recent heavy rainfall.

Riverside properties on the River Ouse in York and Naburn Lock have been placed on alert with current river levels at 3.1m. Levels are expected to fall throughout the day, although may rise again with more rain expected over the weekend.

The following locations are most at risk of flooding:

  • Kings Staith, York
  • Queens Staith, York
  • South Esplanade, York
  • New Walk, York
  • Naburn Lock Buildings and Lock Cottages
