Police appeal for crash witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in South Shield that left a female pedestrian critically injured in hospital.
Sergeant Steve Templeman, from the Northumbria Police Road Safety Unit, said:
– Sergeant Steve Templeman, from Northumbria Police“We’re particularly keen to speak to a cyclist who was passing who came to the immediate aid of the woman at the scene.
“It’s possible this person has important information about the incident and we’re keen to speak to them. They or any other witnesses should contact police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101.
