WEATHER: Colder night ahead. Snow and ice risk

The Met Office now have an ICE WARNING out for Pennine areas during the early hours of Sunday (2am to 11am).

Showers, turning wintry over the tops after midnight and possibly giving a few centimetres of snow, will lead to icy stretches and difficult driving conditions.

The winds will pick up from the west. Temperatures will hover around freezing.

East of the hills conditions will be drier and clearer but a frost is still possible, leading to a cold start on Sunday.
