Lane closed after A1 collision
Motorists faced delays on the A1 this afternoon after a two-car crash at Gateshead.
Emergency services were called to the Northbound carriageway near to the Angel of the North at around 12:15pm. Those involved were treated for minor injuries.
Two of three lanes were closed after the accident, although one has since re-opened.
