Pardew wants to strengthen Magpies' strikeforce
Newcastle United are hoping to complete a deal to sign France international defender Mathieu Debuchy.
The 27-year-old is expected to make a 5 million pound move from Lille after the transfer window opens tomorrow.
The Magpies were linked with the player last summer.
Alan Pardew would also like to strengthen his strikeforce - and there's continuing uncertainty about the club's leading scorer, Demba Ba.
