Officers conducting the investigation into the death of David Scott from Stanley on December 23rd have renewed their appeal for information.
David Scott was found with stab wounds in the back lane of Rose Avenue in Stanley, but died of his injuries hours later at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.
Police specifically want to hear from anyone who saw a young man wearing a light blue body warmer in the Stanley or South Moor area on the evening of Saturday, December 22nd, up to 2am on Sunday, December 23rd.
“A number of people have already come forward with information and we’re grateful for their assistance, but I’m asking others to consider if they have anything to tell us.
They might not think their information is significant, but it could be the final crucial piece of the jigsaw.
