Appeal after assault in Gateshead
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Gateshead on Tuesday January 1st.
Officers received a report that a 17-year-old male had been assaulted, believed with a glass, at St Cuthbert's Court.
It is thought that the assault happened earlier in the morning when he was walking back to the area from a night out.
The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries and has since been discharged.
