Police investigating the shooting of a man in a pub car park in North Tyneside have made three more arrests, bringing the total to five.
The shooting happened at the Six Mile Bridge Inn in Seaton Burn yesterday afternoon. Northumbria Police say they've arrested four men and one woman. Police patrols have been increased in the area to reassure the local community.
The man who was shot is still being treated in hospital but his injuries are not though to be life-threatening. Anyone with information is being urged to contact Northumbria Police.
