Police investigating the shooting of a man in the carpark of the Six Mile Bridge Inn in Seaton Burn at 4.12pm yesterday afternoon have made three further arrests.
Four men aged 22, 23, 47 and 52 and a 25-year-old woman have now been arrested in connection with the incident and are helping police with their enquiries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police.
