North Yorkshire Police have confirmed the name of the officer who tragically died while on duty on Saturday 5th January 2013 as PC Andrew Bramma.
The 32-year-old was a member of the Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team.
He died after his patrol van hit a tree in West Tanfield, near Ripon, while he was on the way to answer an emergency call. He leaves a wife and two young children.
A statement from North Yorkshire Police said "Andrew had recently transferred to North Yorkshire from Greater Manchester Police, where he had served since 2008, and was a well-liked and much-valued member of the force."
