Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray said he was satisfied after his team's FA Cup Third Round victory over Hastings United on Saturday.
Boro beat the Isthmian League side 4-1 to reach the Fourth Round of the competition, and set up another home tie against League Two club Aldershot Town.
Speaking after the match, Mowbray said: "Ultimately satisfied because we're in the next round. There can be difficult ties, and it was a difficult tie at times.
"Ultimately we scored the goals and probably pleased for them, who scored a great goal in front of their supporters who've come a long way.
"It's a fairytale for them really. I think they've played seven games already to get here and it's nice to be able to sit here and congratulate them on their performance and their goal, and yet we got through.
"It was a bit patchy from us I think and yet we did enough."
