Over £30,000 worth of equipment stolen in North Shields

Police are appealing for information after around £34,000 worth of items were stolen in North Shields.

Thieves broke into a garage in Westmorland Road between three o'clock on January 5th and ten o'clock on January 6th and pushed a Nissan 4x4 out of the way before stealing tools, equipment and a car.

In total around £28,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

The equipment stolen includes:

  • A red Solus diagnostic machine in a black case
  • A large black Snap-On unit with the image of a McLaren Mercedes sports car on the side
  • A smaller red Snap-On unit
  • A Toshiba laptop

A yellow Citroen C2 that was in the garage being repaired was also stolen. It's license plate is NA07 KCC and it is still missing.
