Pensioner attacked in Billingham

Police are appealing for information after a 66-year-old man was assaulted as he waited for a bus in Low Grange Avenue in Billingham on the evening of Saturday January 5th.

The man was waiting at the bus stop outside of Low Grange Social Club at eight o'clock when a man stopped at the bus stop and chatted to him, before punching him in an unprovoked attack.

The attacker then fled over the grassed area towards Evesham Way.

The pensioner sustained two black eyes, a suspected broken nose and cuts and bruises to his face.

The attacker is:

  • White
  • Around 5'7 tall
  • Of slim build
  • With a bald head
  • He was wearing a white vest at the time of the attack.
