A third man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug after six men, aged 19 to 22, were taken to hospital on Thursday night. The young men are believed to have taken an hallucinogenic drug called 2CB.
Emergency services were called to a property in Ripon Gardens in Jesmond, Newcastle.
Five of the men have been discharged from Newcastle's RVI one man remains in a critical condition.
Two people - men aged 23 - arrested yesterday have been bailed pending further enquiries.
