Tonight, ITV News brought you the exclusive story of the parents fighting to get the best treatment for their seriously ill children - and being denied a referral to the hospital of their choice.
The children were being treated for life threatening heart conditions at Leeds General Infirmary, but when their parents became dissatisfied with their care, they were told that they could not have a referral to Newcastle's Freeman Hospital.
The two hospitals are locked in a battle over the future of their children's heart units. Under NHS plans, one of them will have to close.
