CCTV released after Northumberland robbery

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they need to speak to after a robbery in Northumberland.

The robbery happened around 11 o'clock on the morning of Saturday January 5th, when a 45-year-old man was near the Flying Horse in Waterloo Road, Blyth.

The man was assaulted and had his wallet and cash stolen. He also suffered a minor facial injury.

Police believe that the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.

A 34-year-old man was originally arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently on bail.

"We've been making extensive enquiries into this robbery and now have CCTV stills of a man who police need to speak to.


_We believe he may have information which is important to the investigation and I'd urge him or anyone who knows him to get in touch with police."
