Men arrested after Northumberland assault

Police have arrested two men after an assault in Northumberland.

A 29-year-old man was assaulted at Bowes Street in Blyth just before nine o'clock on the evening of Thursday January 17th.

Officers were called to the scene and found a man with head and facial injuries, including a broken nose. He is currently receiving hospital treatment.

Two men, aged 20 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and are currently in police custody.
