France international defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is expected to undergo a medical with Newcastle United on Monday.
It's understood the Magpies have agreed a £6.7 million fee with Ligue 1 side Montpellier for the 23-year-old, and the player is set to sign a four-year deal on Tyneside.
Yanga-Mbiwa will become the Alan Pardew's second January signing after his France teammate Mathieu Debuchy joined the club earlier this month.
