All main roads in the force area are at the moment passable with care and the situation is being constantly monitored.
Officers continue to ask motorists to only travel if necessary, be aware of any snow and ice on the roads and to reduce their speed and drive according to the road conditions, keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
Conditions remain difficult and police are asking motorists to take care on the roads during rush hour, particularly on secondary routes and side and rural roads.

The following schools are closed across the region because of the adverse weather.
