Photo of bike left behind after attempted robbery
Northumbria Police have released a photograph of a bicycle found at the scene of an attempted robbery outside a Lidl store in Sunderland.
Two security guards were filling a cash machine at the supermarket on Roker Avenue on 12th December when three men approached them. One of the men knocked a security guard to the ground and tried to take money but then ran off empty handed.
No one was injured. The police are appealing for witnesses.
