Seven hospitals in the North East and North Yorkshire are to get hundreds of thousands of pounds to improve maternity services.
York Teaching Hospital will receive the most at over £400,000.
North Tees and Hartlepool Trust will also get almost £200,000.
The money will help provide facilities like new birthing pools and better bereavement spaces.
