Mowbray made Graham enquiry

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray says the club did enquire about Danny Graham before the striker joined Sunderland.

It's understood Boro managed to agree a fee with Swansea City for the 27-year-old. However, the player has instead completed a £5 million move to the Stadium of Light.

Speaking on transfer deadline day, Mowbray said: "He is a player we did enquire about because of the personal reasons of wanting to come back to a certain area of the country, and we obviously fit that criteria."
