Murder in Holywell: Latest
Northumbria Police have launched a murder inquiry after a woman was found dead this afternoon in a house near Blyth.
Officers say that this is also connected to a car crash which happened earlier in Shiremoor, a few miles away from the address in Holywell.
A woman crashed into a lamp post and is now being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Officers say that the two women knew each other.
