23 years jail for man who raped and stabbed a woman in Majorca
A waiter has been sentenced to 23 years for raping a woman in Majorca, just days after she arrived on the island to work in a bar. The attack on Cheryl Maddison from County Durham only ended when she pretended to be dead.
Mohamed Fadel El Anssari was sentenced to 11 years for sexual assault and another 12 years for attempted murder.
