Police have released a photo of Tina Casey, who died earlier this week after being stabbed.
The 42-year-old was found dead by officers at her home on Monday February 4th, after
officers investigating a crash in Shiremoor on the same day found items in the car which led them to her address.
Tina Casey died from stab wounds.
Two people, a 32-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman, were arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder.
Anyone with information about the death or the crash is asked to contact police on the 101 non-emergency number, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Crimestoppers may offer a reward for information which leads to an arrest and charge.
