Delays of up to 30 minutes on Northern Rail between Newcastle and Middlesbrough, and between Newcastle and MetroCentre due to overhead line problems at Newcastle.
Disruption is expected until around 18:00.
Also affecting East Coast, CrossCountry and First TransPennine Express services.
