Runners who have missed out on a place on the Great North Run can still take part in the race as part of the Action For Children team.
The charity wants to hear from anyone unsuccessful in securing a place in the BUPA Great North Run via a ballot.
It has spaces available for the 13.1 mile run which takes place on September 15.
Runners need to commit to raising at least £340 for Action For Children, a charity which supports vulnerable children, young people and families across the UK.
– Vicky Thaxter, Action For Children fundraiser
"It's not too late to take up the challenge and run the BUPA Great North Run in aid of Action for Children.
If you didn't receive a place in the ballot please do get in touch and put your best foot forward for charity."
