Thousands more people will be soon be able to use the internet at superfast speeds, after BT announced that it is going to install fibre optic cables in twelve communities.
More than 100,000 people will benefit, but as our Business Correspondent Ben Chapman reports, the region itself might be the biggest winner of all.
