Gateshead suffer another postponement

Gateshead's Blue Square Bet Premier clash at home to Kidderminster Harriers tonight has been postponed.

It's the tenth match at the International Stadium to have been called-off in the last three months due to ongoing problems with the pitch. A new drainage system which was installed last summer has failed, leaving the playing surface waterlogged.

The Heed's next scheduled home game is against title chasers Wrexham on Tuesday 19th February. Club officials say if the pitch is still unplayable by then, an alternative venue in the North East will be arranged to stage the tie.
