Man arrested in Hawaii in connection with Gateshead rape
A man, wanted in connection with the rape of a woman in Gateshead more than 20 years ago, has been arrested in Hawaii.Salvador Orozco, 48, was arrested by US Marshals after they executed a warrant.
Detectives are now waiting for American officials to extradite Orozco to the UK, where he will be questioned by police.
He is wanted in connection with an attack on a woman, on Askew Road, on 17th May 1990.
